Frequently Asked Questions:

How does it help pimples and blemishes?
The LED lights help fight bacteria and the increased blood circulation the LEDs produce helps heal wounds with new cells.

Will the DPL™ System help any other issues?
YES, the same LED design and power will help with minor pain and inflammation and has been shown to help with pimples and blemishes. Some people have reported that it helped reduce scars.

Is it FDA Approved?
YES The DPL™ System is a FDA approved medical device.

How often and how long should I use the DPL™ System?
The DPL™ System is designed to run for seventeen (17) minutes. Since each person’s skin and free time is different the treatment time varies for each person. We recommend at least 17 minutes of light therapy per day, which can be done in one session or in several. We recommend treatments daily for at least the first month and then two to three treatments a week after that. If you miss a treatment, don’t worry; just extend the daily treatments for the lost days.

How long until I see results?
Everyone’s skin varies, but most people feel and see a difference in about four treatments. Because of differences in damaged skin, some people will see the benefits almost immediately and others will need more treatments. Typically within a few uses, people feel a tingling in their skin, a slight warmth and a tightening of their skin. Then users start seeing the fine lines and wrinkles start to disappear as their skin plumps up. Because treatments are progressive, we recommend treatments for at least ten (10) weeks, for best results.

Does DPL™ Therapy work on everyone?
DPL™ is proven to work on all skin types. There is over a 90% success rate for people using our system correctly. The most difficult skin to help is people who (1) have had sever sun damage, (2) are or have been smokers, and (3) are very thin. Can this hurt my eyes? No studies have been found showing any harmful effects to the eyes when using our product correctly. However, we recommend not staring directly into our LEDs.

Why can’t I see light from some of the LEDs?
These LEDs (880 nanometers) are on and working properly. You cannot see them because they are in the infrared spectrum, which is not visible to the human eye. Some digital cameras and camcorders will display the infrared lights.

Can I combine DPL™ Therapy with other skin care?
Yes. DPL™ Therapy can be used alone or with other skin care treatments. Many physicians have found DPL™ Therapy to complement other treatments.

Will DPL™ Therapy hurt?
No. Unlike lasers or other ablative (skin harming) treatments, DPL™ therapy is non-thermal, non-ablative, and non-invasive. Clients report no discomfort or pain associated with DPL™ Therapy treatments.

What is the warranty period?
The warranty period is for 1 year from the date you received the product.

I have high blood pressure – will using this hurt me?
There is no evidence using the DPL™ System will increase blood pressure, but if you are concerned we recommend you always consult your physician.

Where is the product made?
The DPL™ System is made in the USA (Colorado). Where is it shipped from? The DPL™ System is shipped from Denver Colorado.

How long until I receive it?
You should receive it in 5-7 days

What is the difference between LASERS and LEDs (or the DPL™ System)?
Lasers are more powerful than LEDs and they hurt the skin in order to heal the skin and grow collagen. The DPL™ System doesn’t hurt the skin; but penetrates deep into the skin to stimulate fibroblasts which creates collagen and elastin.

What is the Wattage of the system?
The most important question is that the DPL™ System produces 4 Joules per centimeter squared. Our product meets the NASA specifications. The DPL™ System produces 30 Watts of power.

Do I need to take off my makeup before using the system?
You Do Not have to remove makeup for the treatments to be effective. Because there is some slight warmth felt on the face during the treatments you might want to remove your makeup for comfort reasons.

How long has it been out?
The DPL™ Systems has commercially available out for over 4 years, but the technology and use in Dermatologist offices has been available for several years.

How do you use it?
Turn unit on and place your face about ¼ to ½ inch from the middle of the system. Use the system for your desired time length. The system will turn off automatically at the end of seventeen (17) minutes.

How long will the LEDs last?
The LEDs are rated for 2,500 hours and with normal use should last many years. LEDs are not like light bulbs with filaments, but have solid state chips inside.
